Forest Management

Forest Management is necessary in today’s time especially in India. Forests cover roughly one-third of the world’s land area and provide vital environmental services such as climate regulation, soil protection and water management. They also produce food and raw materials, which sustain hundreds of millions of people and support economies. The FRA says that India accounts to 2% of the total global forest area. During the decade, India accounted for 0.38% of annual gain in forest cover.
