Disaster Management or First Response Drone Training is a certificate course that will provide a clear path to understanding the challenges of a disaster zone, vital operational factors, the Incident command structure, equipment considerations, drones that can be used, regulations, clearance to fly, coordination efforts, ways to help, and more.

Understand emergencies and its management, phases of emergencies, the role of local govt agencies, mobilization of the UAV 1st response teams, drones used for disaster management. Rules and regulations regarding drones. Fixed-wing vs multirotor for emergency services, payloads and software used.

Types of disasters, planning for disasters and training needed, working with local bodies and creating an SOP which can be used with ease. Assessment of disaster sites and collecting drone-captured images, interpretation of the images. Command centre and its role with the drone operator, roles and responsibilities of drone pilots.

Planning a mission, Flight profiles for each mission, crew management, risk assessment for ground and Ariel crew, understanding weather of all types, hazards unique to disaster sites and how to fly around those areas, logistics and how to combat fatigue and stress. Case studies for various kinds of disasters.

Four days of learning applied to a practical flying test, evaluation and certification will be awarded.
